HISTORY

2015
After several years of television collaborations through licensing agreements, PASP decided to take on the organization of the official awards for Cyprus’ top football division. From that point on, only the players themselves vote to elect the season’s best. The first-ever PASP Football Awards for the 2014/15 season were broadcast by the online channel Alfa Sports TV.
2018
The awards are now broadcast on television, with live coverage provided by Primetel, while they continue to be streamed online by Alfa Sports TV.
2020
The awards were not held as the championship was not completed due to the pandemic.
2021
The PASP Football Awards have changed broadcasting partners and are now aired live on Cablenet through the Cablenet Sports TV channels.
2024
The PASP Football Awards celebrate their 10th anniversary! For the first time, the top players of both the Men’s and Women’s First Division Championships were announced and presented together on stage.
2025
The PASP Football Awards now include and announce the Best XI and Best Coach awards for the Women’s Championship and the Men’s Second Division.
