The issue involving PASP members Andreas Zachariou and Michalis Koukou has been successfully resolved. Following the Association’s intervention, both players were informed by the Social Insurance Services that Ermis Aradippou has paid the outstanding contributions owed for the previous football season.
The Board of Directors of PASP, and specifically the Association’s Executive President, Spyros Neofytides, stood by the two footballers from the very beginning, demanding the club’s immediate compliance with the relevant legislation.
Mr. Neofytides expressed his satisfaction with this development, emphasizing that the outcome vindicates the Association’s positions over the recent period. At the same time, he sent a clear message to all footballers, particularly those at Ermis, to immediately demand their supplementary agreements. He also disclosed that PASP has already reported the Aradippou club to the Department of Labour Relations of the Ministry of Labour, with the results of the investigation expected in the coming days.
The Executive President of PASP further underlined that footballers across all teams are employees and possess every legal right to request a copy of their employment contract, whether it is the standard registered contract or the supplementary agreement, adding that non-compliance by clubs constitutes a legal offense.
